Meet the team behind Gifts for Card Players

Gifts for Card Players is a shopping portal page which was originally a part of the Great Bridge Links bridge portal. It has been online since 2006!

Starting with the holiday season in 2006, the web page is now a stand-alone destination for shoppers looking for items related to playing cards, playing card games, board games, video games, casino games, and giftware. Cross links are in place in order to maintain the great standing on google and other search engines.

The site began as shopping portal. We surfed the web looking for interesting, unique, and useful gift items. We put their pictures and links to the merchant site on these pages. We do not sell the products. We simply link to them. If more than one merchant carries a certain product, we give preference to advertisers and sponsors. Some of our links go through our Amazon affiliate account.

During the pandemic 2020-2022, when face-to-face gaming was put on hold, we pivoted to a magazine format. Today the website features articles on card games, casino games, and board game reviews. However, we still keep the shopping pages updated!

Jude Goodwin

Jude Goodwin has been involved with bridge websites since 1995 when she launched her first bridge-related website for the Canadian Bridge Federation.

Some of you might know Jude as the author of Teach Me To Play, the cartoonist behind the Table Talk cartoons, the long-time production editor of Bridge Canada, or as the owner and manager of the internet’s popular Great Bridge Links (sold in 2026).

Jude lives in BC, Canada. She is the owner of Goodwin Studios, publisher of Gifts for Card Players as well as  What’s on Queer BC. Jude has a degree in Creative Writing and is a published author and poet.
